Pathmatics expands social ad data coverage to UK, Germany markets

Ad tracking firm Pathmatics has reportedly announced its plan to expand its data coverage of social advertising to Germany and the United Kingdom, by launching its flagship product Pathmatics Explorer in the regions.

This announcement comes along the heels of a similar expansion carried out earlier this year, which brought into the fold advertising data from Facebook Canada.

As a result of this expansion, Pathmatics customers will experience an increased visibility of more than 30,000 advertisers across the German and UK markets, through panel-based data from Facebook. The data includes creatives, spends, impressions, and targeting parameters as far back as January 2017.

The expansion consists of a geographic ad spend breakdown for 5 major UK cities and data on country level in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. German users can access a geographic breakdown of advertising spend for 5 key metropolitan areas with data segmented across 16 states.

According to Pathmatics CEO & Founder, Gabe Gottlieb, a majority of the ad spending in the UK and German markets is from digital and will continue to rise in coming months. He spoke about the expansion stating Pathmatics’ role in providing true ad spend data across mobile, desktop and social media platforms in the US and Canada, and expressed their commitment towards elevating the visibility of international marketers and brands in the digital ecosystem, tweaking their advertising strategies and creating ideal marketing mixes for their business or client base.

As per eMarketer, non-US brands are now increasing budget allocations to Facebook, with nearly 28% of their total digital budget now going solely to Facebook across the UK, Canada and Germany. The collective Facebook ad returns from these 3 nations has increased by 267% from 2015 to 2018.

Pathmatics social tracking coverage currently includes Facebook ad tracking across the US, Canada, Germany and UK markets, as of September 2019. Plans to add more social platforms and expand to more regions in the coming year are underway.
