Hillstone unveils cloud workload protection platform ‘CloudArmour’

Hillstone Networks, an IT service management company, has recently announced the launch of its all-inclusive cloud workload protection platform (CWPP), Hillstone CloudArmour.

According to sources, CloudArmour offers Hillstone’s enterprise-grade security to cloud workloads with machine learning (ML)-enhanced runtime behavior modeling, smart policy operations, and firewall micro-segmentation to prevent lateral attacks.

It works across all the cloud-based environments, helping organizations to meet the security demands of both the architecture of the new cloud infrastructure and the evolution of DevOps.

Co-founder & CTO of Hillstone Networks, Tim Liu said that as cloud operations are being implemented quicker rate, enterprises are required to protect their complete cloud workloads.

Backed by advanced firewalls, CloudArmour offers an all-inclusive platform that solves the CWPP need to maximize the security and safety of all enterprise cloud environments.

Some of the key features of CloudArmour include:

  1. Deep security visibility of cloud workloads – CloudArmour offers a central dashboard of the cloud security posture with analytical and statistical information for Kubernetes clusters and hosts, allowing organizations to have a cohesive workload monitoring real-time assets management.

  1. Granular network micro-segmentation – Network micro-segmentation on the platform adapts to several workloads and cloud platforms in a loose-coupling way with trademarked traffic steering technology, offering P2P network visibility and granular control based on services, nodes, or apps.

  1. ML-powered intellectual risk discovery and runtime protection – The advanced threat detection and prevention capability of CloudArmour can help in detecting and mitigating threats and risks intelligently during the runtime on all cloud workloads, including VMs, containers, and bare-metal servers.

  1. Out-of-box security acquiescence valuations and enforcement – The platform evaluates the compliance posture of cloud workloads with the help of compliance checks from CIS Benchmarks for Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, images, and application runtime configurations.

  1. Comprehensive vulnerability management across the complete application lifespan – CloudArmour offers in-depth insights and management of vulnerabilities of images, working nodes, containers, and hosts, which deploys security as part of CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) workflow.
