Elvie launches Insights app feature for its wearable breast pumps

Elvie, a UK-based health & lifestyle brand, focused upon innovating smarter technology for women recently announced the launch of its Insights app feature for Elvie Pump, which is the quietest, lightest and smallest wearable breast pump in the world.

The new feature could help lactating women understand and keep a check on their pumping data. The app also tracks aggregated milk volume pumped, the rate of milk expressed for every breast, and the total time spent pumping. The data displayed empowers women to learn more about their pumping sessions and gives a clearer insight into their pumping behavior.

By connecting Elvie Pump to the free app, women are likely to get more out of their pumping sessions as they are able to view their real-time milk volume data. Unlike most of the current pumps available in the market, women can use this app to track their pumping history and control the pump remotely.

With increasing understanding provided by the Elvie Pump session data, mothers can make more informed decisions pertaining to the respective pumping behavior based on their goals, such as  increasing supply on one side and building up a stockpile of milk, knowing how much volume to expect when pumping for 20-30 min and pumping according to a busy schedule.

Tania Boler, Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Elvie was reportedly quoted saying that the company is continuously working and innovating in order to empower its users with information that aids them in making their lives easier.

The biggest factor in deciding which features to add next or develop further is completely based on customers’ feedback and the company has added the Insights feature in response to requests from users for a way to keep a track and understand their pumping data to aid them in planning their pumping sessions with ease and confidence, Boler added.
