Indian EV-based startup, Zypp Electric has started its operations in Hyderabad with 100 EV bikers that will engage in last-mile delivery services. The startup has also announced its partnerships with e-commerce grocery brands like SPAR Hypermarkets, Bigbasket, and Grofers.
The startup claims that it has hired a team of trained riders including men and women and will assure that all its riders follow COVID-19 etiquettes like wearing masks, face shields and gloves for necessary protection.
Customer deliveries will be done with API integrated EVs. Apart from this, Zypp also plans to install 20 battery swapping and charging stations in the city of Hyderabad.
According to Akash Gupta, Co-Founder & CEO of Zypp Electric, the company is delighted and thrilled to launch its last-mile delivery services using its fleet of 100 IoT & AI-enabled e-scooters in Hyderabad. He said that the EV fleet will be expanded to 500 in the coming 3-4 months in the city.
Mr. Gupta added that Zypp Electric aims to partner with businesses, organizations, neighbourhood stores to offer eco-friendly delivery services through its electronic scooters which will help in reducing pollution and creating a carbon-free ecosystem in the city of Hyderabad.
Founded in 2017, Zypp Electric currently holds a fleet of more than 1,500 EVs and is operational in major cities like Gurgaon, Delhi, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Noida, and Jaipur. The firm offers services like delivery of groceries, food, medicines, packages through its electric two-wheelers from point A to point B.
