Zafin buys FINCAD to expand its product range & analytics capabilities

Zafin, a banking software enterprise platform company, has recently announced that it has acquired FINCAD, the top provider of enterprise portfolio and risk analytics for fixed income and multi-asset derivatives.

With this acquisition, Zafin will expand its analytics capabilities and product portfolio to become one of Canada's largest B2B fintech companies with a noteworthy presence in the global markets, including more than 450 recognized clients, around 60 ecosystem partners, and 500 plus employees working in 13 offices globally.

Notably, FINCAD is a leader in offering derivative and complete pricing, modelling and risk analytics to many of the world's assets management firms, banks, hedge funds and insurance companies. Adding the expertise of FINCAD's capital markets, extensive client base globally and next-generation analytics will help the company to witness extraordinary growth in the future.

Talking about Zafin, this acquisition marks a breakthrough moment in its history as it will offer pricing and innovative analytics solutions across all banking segments, including corporate, retail, commercial, and capital markets – a major differentiator in the market.

Moreover, FINCAD will be functioning as the Capital Markets Group of Zafin under the well-known FINCAD brand.

Founder and Group CEO of Zafin, Al Karim Somji, said that as the firm is looking forward to hastening their growth globally and augmenting its complete pricing and analytics offering to the market, the move into Capital Markets space is a major step.

Working with FINCAD as one global team will offer tremendous opportunity to the firm for scaling its business by sharing deep subject-matter expertise and talent in areas like risk analytics, pricing and cloud technology.

Moreover, the acquisition of FINCAD discerns Zafin further in a market to be a new Analytics-as-a-Service offering firm, which it expects to unveil later this year.
