UKG allies with Microsoft to improve employee engagement solutions

Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG), a leading provider of human capital management, HR service delivery, payroll and workforce management services and solutions, has expanded its collaboration with tech giant- Microsoft Corporation to improve employee technology experience across several organizations worldwide that use UKG and Microsoft solutions.

Under this collaboration, the two companies will come together to reduce the need for employees to shift between business applications to complete their daily requests and actions. Doing this will help employees to spend relatively less time on administrative work and more on doing something impactful for the organization and themselves.

The alliance focuses on four most important strategic areas, that are:

  • Offering faster access to solutions- Providing a platform for employees where they can ask for time offs, search for contacts within their company, check their pay details, and complete many other actions that are carried out in UKG Pro directly from Microsoft Teams.
  • Simplifying onboarding process- HR managers will now be able to easily provide new hires a Windows 365 virtual cloud PC from within Pro immediately after hiring, removing manual requests between the IT team and HR.

This ensures that each new hire is given a virtual cloud PC with access to important business applications.

  • Enhancing business insights - Through automating and synchronizing payroll data between Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Dimensions without any need for custom interfaces, business insights are simplified.

This will ensure that the business intelligence teams have an updated timekeeping data and workforce analytics for key organizational insights.

  • Building a connected employee environment- Along with offering relevant actions, company information and resources, the employee experience platform by Microsoft will extend relevant updates from Pro and UKG Dimensions, such as integral to-dos, the ability to view paychecks and schedules, along with the option to request time offs.

Previously, UKG and Microsoft joined hands to develop popular Dimensions add-in for Microsoft Outlook, which permits time offs to be requested and approved through Outlook, where many office-based managers and workers are already taking decisions during the day.
