UAE extends travel ban for Indians amid strict COVID-19 guidelines

United Arab Emirates (UAE) has reportedly extended travel ban for individuals travelling from India and several other south Asian countries on the pretext of COVID-19 guidelines. As reported by Etihad Airlines, the ban will be followed till 31st July. Although, other airlines claim that the move awaits government review.

Reportedly, under this extended travel ban, exemptions will be given to UAE residents, ambassadors, or those holding the nation's stockholder visa. It will also exclude fully vaccinated visitors with a residency permit who have completed three tests since 23rd June.

Although, people who do not fall under this bracket & wish to conduct business or travel for vacation to UAE must wait for some time as the restrictions are lifted.

Expats in India have been in ambiguity since April, with many being pushed to reassess their options. The need for alternative solutions has grown more evident than ever, especially for people with limited mobility, posing a danger to business and family safety.
