Symphony Technology Group (STG), an American private equity firm, has recently announced the launch of Trellix. This innovative business will be bringing prolonged XDR (detection and response) to firms while focusing on fastening technology innovation via automation and machine learning.

Imperative to note that Trellix is a by-product of McAfee Enterprise and FireEye merger, announced in October 2021.

William Chisholm, Managing Partner, STG, said that the firm is pleased to have Trellix in the portfolio of STG. The customers can now look forward to Trellix's living security platform to provide excellent innovation across the XDR market.

William mentioned that Trellix will promise the brand to build confident and resilient organizations via living security – security technology that adapts and learns for protecting operations from the most innovative threat factors.

Bryan Palma, Chief Executive Officer, Trellix, stated that Trellix's XDR platform offers protection to the firm's customers as it brings security to life with machine learning, automation, threat intelligence, and extensible architecture.

The XDR ecosystem of Trellix is designed to fast-track the efficiency of security operations by offering customers the ability to take in over six hundred open and native security technologies.

By offering the security analysts with better insights, delivering comprehensive threat context, and granting more control, they can act authoritatively and at the same time save time to remediate threats.

Frank Dickson, Program Vice President, Cybersecurity Products, IDC, said that the ability of XDR vividly advances security efficiency, and vendors that can deliver on that promise will be capturing the market share.

Frank added that by combining the product portfolio that spans endpoint, messaging, network, data protection, and cloud services, Trellix has an inspiring portfolio that will address the XDR promise.

Moreover, the McAfee Enterprise Secure Service Edge (SSE) portfolio is expected to be launched later this quarter as a separate business, which will be including Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), and Secure Web Gateway (SWG).
