Softpay.io and Amadis collaborate over new Tap-to-Pay service

Amadis, the leading provider of innovative solutions for the electronic payment industry, has recently stated that it is collaborating with digital services firm Softpay.io to offer its pre-certified Kernels and Universal EMV Level 2 Framework for integration into the latter’s novel Tap-to-Pay service.

The innovative Tap-to-Pay service offered by Softpay can be added to any Android device and can be turned into a complete payment card receiving terminal.

Softpay’s service offers merchants higher flexibility and future-proofing capabilities, dropping costs and building new revenue opportunities.

On the flip side, the Amadis solution is a module of its ‘Amadis One; software framework, which comprises an EMV L2 and ecosystem Framework supporting EMV Contactless Kernel.

It empowers Softpay’s service to flawlessly accept EMV payments on Android COTS devices and NFC proficiencies, lessening the time for Softpay to roll out novel products, and offer payment acceptance of any payment schemes on its new mobile payment platform.

For those unversed, Amadis One software framework is the first solution to empower Nexo (ISO 202022) ideals on Tap-to-Pay platforms.

Thomas Grane, CIO at Matas, said that Softpay’s solution enables the firm to transform the shopping experience, allowing the store associates to check out shoppers anywhere in-store or curbside.

The solution drives opportunities for new sales and empowers a more productive, tailored customer experience.

The Tap-to-Pay service is impacting numerous industries, including QSRs and retailers, who can function more efficiently. Using this service, staff can cash in payments while multi-tasking anywhere at curbside pickup locations or in-store.

The transit firms can augment new points by sale by offering and processing new and upgraded tickets instantly while passengers are on board buses and trains.

Emmanuel Haydont, CEO and co-founder of Amadis, said that the Tap-to-Pay service offered by Softpay offers advanced new experiences to QSR, transport, and retail industries, and the software framework of Amadi helps them to bring the product to the market faster.
