RigNet enters into strategic agreement with BP for Intelie Live

Intelie Live facilitates visualizations for internal teams to offer real-time operating condition across a broad range of configurations and equipment type. 

RigNet, a leading supplier of ultra-secure, intellectual networking solutions, has reportedly announced that it has inked a multi-year deal with BP, which is among the major exploration and production companies in the world. BP has decided to deploy Intelie Live’s analytics based on machine learning in its Remote Collaboration Center, which will help to significantly enhance operational efficiency and productivity across drilling operations.

For the record, RigNet provides advanced software and communications infrastructure, which helps customers to understand business profits of digital transformation. The company is headquartered in Houston, Texas and has operations all across the world.

Paul Foreman, Vice President, Global Solutions (Global Wells Organization), BP, reportedly stated that RigNet’s Intelie Live has exhibited its suitability to fulfill the company’s requirements and expectations. Leveraging Intelie Live in the company’s Remote Collaboration Center has the potential to boost security of operations and reliability of wells constructed through efficient use of relevant data, he further added.

Apparently, Intelie Live will be deployed to manage, map and incorporate tens of thousands of unique data elements into one data platform, which would help to strengthen data quality and allow real-time decision making throughout several systems. Intelie Live facilitates visualizations for internal teams to offer real-time operating condition across a broad range of configurations and equipment type.

Steven Pickett, Chief Executive Officer and President, RigNet, revealed that selection of Intelie Live by BP was based on Intelie’s ability to rapidly implement the platform to cater to the requirements of the company. The experience of Intelie in Energy sector has enabled firms like BP to speed up their digital transformation journey, he further added.

Earlier, RigNet  was in headlines earlier when it  declared the merger of its four offices in Lafayette area into a single new facility.
