Realme plans to expand into newer TV price segments in India

By Pankaj Singh

With TV viewing in the Indian sub-continent slowly becoming a more connected viewing experience, realme, a Chinese electronics company, recently announced extending its foothold into newer price segments, scaling up features and capabilities, and introducing tech enthusiasts into the fold across the nation.

The move was acknowledged by Vice President of realme and CEO of realme India and Europe, Madhav Sheth.

The company has apparently announced enhancing the features of its smart TV 4K series with much being improved on smart features and experience, bringing in a remarkable cinematic experience with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision-enabled 4K display.

Moreover, the company is also introducing the far field control assistant which would now be available on a few expensive realme models only.

In fact, Madhav Sheth has claimed that the company is expecting realme Smart TVs to reach 20% of its internal share and make way for it to become the country’s top online smart TV brands.

For the record, realme Smart TV 4K offers Google hands-free voice control, an LED screen, superior 64-bit MediaTek quadcore processor, TUV Rheinland Low blue light certification, and ultra-bezel-less design.

However, now, with the latest Android 10 version, the viewers would have an unlimited access to content like Prime Video, YouTube, Netflix, and Google Play.

Commenting on the move, Mr. Sheth cited that Indian consumers have high expectation when it comes to the viewing experience and do not, under any circumstances, compromise on the design of the smart TV as well.

To that end, realme’s first line of smart TVs have stuck a chord with the gen-Z population, who have, for over the years, appreciated the firm’s unique product line and disruptive DNA.

As per credible reports, the new realme Smart TV is priced at Rs 27,999 for 43-inch, while the 50-inch piece is priced at Rs. 39,999. The products are likely to be up for sale on June 4, 12 noon onwards at realme.com, Flipart.com, and other mainline channels.
