Punch Technologies, Johnson Controls to make safety communication tech

Johnson Controls will be the exclusive vendor of PunchAlert, developed by Punch Technologies.

North Carolina-based software company, Punch Technologies, Inc. and Johnson Controls have recently finalized a deal to bring a state-of-the-art safety communication system to the market. According to sources, the platform, which can be integrated into businesses’ existing security systems, will offer emergency responders, employees and other surrounding businesses an opportunity to effectively and easily communicate during an emergency.

Speaking on the move, Greg Artzt, Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer, Punch Technologies, said that the company’s partnership with Johnson Controls is a landmark opportunity to partner with an international leader in safety. He said that the company will strengthen its relationship by delivering safety communication to a wide range of private and public enterprises, communities and campuses.

Reportedly, Hank Monaco, V.P, Marketing, Johnson Controls, said that it is essential for businesses to have the necessary tools to broadcast emergency procedures and plans to building occupants and employees.

He claims that this agreement would further Johnson Controls’ commitment towards public safety by providing businesses a mechanism to react and report to emergencies as well as means to improve their security systems and safety rules.
