OneWeb inks two deals to deliver high speed communications services

The U.S. based satellite communications firm OneWeb has reportedly announced that it has two client agreements to deliver global, low latency, and high-speed communications services. As per trusted sources, the announcement was made the company at Mobile World Congress 2019 which is being held in Barcelona.

Reportedly, OneWeb has inked a deal with satellite and network operator Talia Limited to provide it with an affordable service for the Quika platform to offer broadband internet across numerous countries across the Middle East and Africa. The company has signed a second contract with Intermatica – a VOIP telecommunications and broadband services provider.

President and Chief Executive Officer of Talia Limited, Alan Afrasiab was reportedly quoted saying that the company is proud to ink the first noteworthy LEO service deal with OneWeb as a network service provider. The company is delighted to be working together with OneWeb who will provide Talia Limited with the high-speed broadband coverage for the Quika service, which would need to remove latency, speed, and geographic barriers and reach all its customers, Afrasiab further added.

According to an official press release issued by OneWeb, the company’s next-gen worldwide satellite broadband service would come on stream for Talia from 2021, with nearly all markets of Talia slated to be activated by 2023.

President and Chief Executive Officer of Intermatica, Claudio Castellani reportedly commented that the firm is delighted to be the first enterprise to sign up with OneWeb. Intermatica’s customers demand that the company should stay at the foremost of connectivity solutions and it can further widen its services through the new collaboration to installations in the most remote locations, offering an incomparable solution in terms of performance and quality, Castellani.
