Nissan debuts latest safety & connectivity tech in the Middle East
Japanese automobile giant, Nissan has recently added new safety and connectivity features to its vehicle line-up in the Middle East, effectively meeting consumers’ changing needs and requirements. The latest addition to Nissan Intelligent Mobility (NIM) suite includes ‘ProPILOT’, a feature launched with the 2021 Nissan Altima.
For the uninitiated, ProPILOT combines Nissan's Intelligent Cruise Control and Steering Assist technologies to make driving simpler and stress-free by actively increasing or reducing the vehicle's speed to maintain a predefined distance from the vehicle ahead.
With added features like Lane Intervention, which uses a forward-facing camera to keep the car in the middle of the lane, and a stop-and-hold function, the ProPILOT is the perfect choice for any driver.
Continuous advancements in NIM, which combine the three pillars of Intelligent Power, Intelligent Driving and Intelligent Integration, assists Nissan in accomplishing its goal of virtually no fatalities linked to its vehicles across the world.
An ideal example of the company’s ultimate manifestation of NIM and self-directed driving is its new Nissan Ariya, which is anticipated to debut in the Middle East at Expo 2020 Dubai.
In a powerful display of technology and creativity, the Ariya will demonstrate the brand's real potential in Intelligent Power, Intelligent Driving, and Intelligent Integration.
NIM (Nissan's Intelligent Mobility) offerings, designed to protect passengers, drivers, and other road users, are in line with findings from automotive industry consumer studies, which indicate that users rank safety features as the most important factor when choosing their next vehicle purchase.
NIM offers extensive protection by sheltering occupants before, during, and after a potential impact in three stages: monitoring, recovering, and protecting.
As of now, Nissan’s NIM technologies are available in its line of vehicles including the famous Nissan Patrol as well as in Nissan KICKS, Altima, Sunny, X-Terra, and X-TRAIL in the Middle East.
