Microsoft reveals new Bing and Edge browsers with ChatGPT AI tech

Microsoft, the leading US-based technology giant, has reportedly released an updated version of its search engine Bing that integrates the most recent breakthroughs in artificial intelligence.

The update leverages OpenAI's ChatGPT technology, which has been a topic of interest amongst the tech population since its release a year ago.

The move ushers in an AI tech race between the two businesses and represents by far the largest challenge to Google's monopoly in web search.

ChatGPT, a Microsoft-backed OpenAI product, produces replies to search queries that are human-like.

Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, believes that the advanced platform is set to revolutionize the nature of the online search, as well as interactions with a wide range of other products.

Bing will soon respond to search requests by providing more detailed responses rather than just links to websites. Moreover, users can also interact with the bot to further personalize their requests. More relevant replies will be added to the right side of a search results page.

The upgraded Bing search engine will be available immediately, with a restricted number of searches available to everyone.

The launch comes a day after Google released information regarding Bard, its own brand-new chatbot.

As per industry analysts Microsoft's investment would dramatically increase the company's competitiveness in the marketplace.

Microsoft stated that Bing will implement OpenAI technology which is even more effective than the ChatGPT tech launched last year. Additionally, the Edge web browser will be updated to include the new features.

It would be credible to mention that Microsoft, an early investor of OpenAI in San Francisco, has been pouring billions into AI technology. It stated last month that it will be extending its partnership with OpenAI through a multiyear, multibillion-dollar investment.

Since then, Microsoft Teams has revealed a new membership level that will include ChatGPT, including a feature that autonomously creates meeting notes as well as highlights.
