KCV inks composite assembly manufacturing deal with Carestream Health

Kaman Composites Vermont, also known as KCV and a subsidiary of Kaman Corporation, a renowned aerospace company, reportedly announced a manufacturing contract with Carestream Health, an independent subsidiary of Onex Corporation.

Under this agreement, the company would manufacture complex composite assemblies for Carestream Health. KCV has expanded is medical imaging customer base through this novel agreement.

General Manager at Kaman Composites-Vermont, Alexander Gamble stated that the company’s capabilities of in-house tooling and product design, integrated with its performance, enable it to meet customer demands when they look to grow industry penetration at a high pace.

Gamble further added that this new relationship speaks to the value provided by the company to its customers, particularly those all in the demanding segment of medical imaging.

Carestream Health is a renowned dynamic global firm with more than 100 years of leadership across the markets in which they serve. With more than 6000 employees across the world, the company is well-positioned to make sure that there is utmost customer satisfaction.

Vice President and General Manager of Kaman Composites US, Mark Withrow stated that this novel consumer win demonstrates the power of the company’s composites capabilities to address the rigorous demands of the medical industry.

Withrow further added that Kaman Composites ability to fulfil its commitments of quality, responsiveness, and on-time delivery enables it to attract the top consumers throughout end markets who seek to collaborate with leading producers to offer solutions for their advanced composite demands.

All composite detail assemblies and parts would be produced and delivered from a KCV unit located in Bennington, Vermont. Deliveries are anticipated to start in 2020.

Recently, Kaman Corporation acquired Bal Seal Engineering for $330 million. Bal Seal Engineering is a US-based designer, developer, and producer of precision springs, contacts, and seals.
