Jubilant Foodworks Ltd, an Indian food service company, has recently announced unveiling the iconic United States’ Fried Chicken brand-Popeyes in India by inaugurating its first store in Bengaluru, India.

For the uninitiated, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, Inc. was established in 1972 and is recognized as one of the most popular and fastest-growing chicken brands in the United States.

As per credible reports, JFL (Jubilant Foodworks Ltd), the firm which is a master franchise of brands such as Dunkin' Donuts and Dominos, is planning to open two more Popeye restaurants in Bengaluru itself soon.

JFL, a part of Jubilant Bhartia Group, had in 2021, announced signing a Master Franchise and Development Agreement with Popeyes for India, Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh markets.

Shyam S Bhartia, Jubilant Foodworks Chairman and Hari S Bhartia, its Co-Chairman said, that they are confident that Popeyes will not only entice consumers but also strategically complement its portfolio and strengthen the leadership of JFL in the QSR domain.

They mentioned that Popeye’s delightful, unique Cajun flavors will surely attract the Indian audience.

Pratik Pota, JFL Chief Executive Officer, stated that throughout these years, Popeyes has evolved as one of the most loved brands globally, and the firm desires to reinvent that equal eagerness and allegiance for Popeyes and its trademark dishes in India as well.

Popeyes is best recognized for its chicken sandwich and spicy New Orleans style fried chicken.

The Indian menu will further feature the bestseller Cajun-flavored, world-famous chicken sandwich, which stormed the internet in the United States in 2019.

Furthermore, the Indian menu will also have an array of vegetarian options. Popeyes will also have its website and an app, enabling customers to experience the food at home as well.

Additionally, JFL has also assembled its in-house delivery fleet of e-bikes.
