Humanoid robot 'Ameca' to display most precise facial expressions

The United Kingdom-based humanoid robot manufacturer, Engineered Arts has recently unveiled that it has permeated more facial expressions like that of humans into one of its robots, which may bring an unnerving feeling among the people.

In a video posted recently on YouTube, Ameca – the humanoid robot- exhibits various human expressions, including waking up from sleeping. Its face shows frustration and confusion when it opens its eyes.

Ameca starts to look at its arms and hands, opens its mouth, and raises its eyebrows once awake, just like a human does.

Also, towards the end of the video, Ameca further smiles and grasps an embracing hand out towards viewers. As per Engineered Arts, the humanoid bot is not able to walk at present, and they are working to provide it with this ability in the coming future.

According to the company, Ameca, designed as a platform for growth into future robotics technologies, is the ideal humanoid robot platform for the interaction between humans and robots.

The hardware Ameca is a development based on its own examination into humanoid robotics and assembled on its advanced 'Mesmer' technology.

As per credible sources, the firm is scheduled to put Ameca on display at the CES 2022 conference, which will be held in Las Vegas in the US in January the next year.

The other features of Ameca include its cloud-connected focus, which owners can use to control it as a personal avatar, simulation, and animation.

Engineered Arts mentioned that the robot comprises pf some of the technologically advanced software that uses Artificial Intelligence. Its main objective is to be serving as a platform for developing AI.

Powered by the Tritium operating system of Engineered Arts, Ameca is generally a subject that can be helpful for testing artificial intelligence and machine learning systems.
