Hikvision- a leading manufacturer and supplier of security solutions has introduced a new line of smart PoE switches that have been developed to simplify installation, enhance system management and offer remote management.
Notably, the latest Smart Managed Switch line provides a unique combination of features such as network health monitoring, advanced visualized topology, and real-time alarm alerts.
According to John Xiao, VP Marketing at Hikvision USA, the firm’s novel EI Smart Managed Switches offer superior performance, affordability, and functionality to manage new and expanded network solutions.
Developed to provide professional surveillance and security, the new smart switches line can help in the reduction of system downtime by offering system administrators with technologically advanced health monitoring and notification systems, John added.
Elaborating further on the key features of the product, EI Smart Managed Switches offer an innovative 2D visual layout of networked devices when they are used along with Hikvision’s HikCentral camera as well as system management solutions.
The visual topology characteristics offer administrators a view of the entire network of connected devices thereby making the systems easier to design and maintain.
It is worth mentioning that Network Health Monitoring permits system administrators to witness real-time bandwidth of the network along with its details.
Real-time alarms and alerts help in reducing network operation and control the cost by automatically notifying system administrators regarding when the network bandwidth exceeds the threshold levels. Moreover, in case transmission is interrupted, the affected camera tile will turn red on the visual topology.
Seemingly, the new IEEE 802.3at and IEEE 802.3af PoE compatible EI Smart Managed Switches by Hikvision will be available in 4,8,16, and 24 port configurations that are rated at 100 Mbps.
Incorporated in 2001, Hikvision develops a full suite of security solutions for a wide range of vertical markets. Along with security, the company also expands its reach to smart home technology, automotive electronics sectors, and industrial automation.
