GE Healthcare and Adventist sign performance enhancement collaboration

The five-year collaboration is expected to bring about financial improvement amounting to almost $100 million.

GE Healthcare and Adventist Health, two of the most renowned healthcare providers in the U.S. recently announced that in a collaboration they will be helping in the transformation of patient experience and healthcare delivery across a hospital system that includes 21 hospitals in Oregon, California and Hawaii.

The companies said that together, over the next 5 years, they would maximize the hospital system’s clinical asset capacity and utilize them to improve patient care delivery. The partnership also aims at providing better information to health system leaders via advanced analytics and improve the quality and reliability of care by reducing process variation. The collaboration is also anticipated to yield cost-saving efficiencies and enable growth that will lead to financial improvement amounting to almost $100 million over five years.

Bill Wing, President, Adventist Health has been reported to say that together with GE Healthcare, the collaboration is expected to deliver patient-centric, innovative care aiming to improving the health experience of the community while making it more affordable and accessible.

John Beaman, chief business officer at Adventist Health has been reported to say that Adventist is looking forward to continuing its relationship with GE Healthcare as the company brings expertise, access to market-leading resources, proprietary tools and advanced analytics into the collaboration. Beaman said that this offers Adventist the opportunity to improve its service, intensify utilization of assets to provide higher quality care and provide more alignment across its service program.

For the record, the strategic risk-sharing relationship between Adventist Health and GE Healthcare is fifth of the various long-term collaborations that GE has entered into over the last two years. Other performance enhancing partnerships include collaboration with Hartford Healthcare, Jefferson Health, Lifespan, Temple Health, Mission Health and Navicent Health.
