Eka Care unveils vaccination slot booking for teenagers ahead of the drive

Eka Care, a digitally enabled and connected healthcare ecosystem for better health outcomes, is now helping citizens book vaccination slots for children aged 15 to 18 years. The vaccination drive for teenagers has been open since the rise in infections in many cities.

Speculations have it that scheduling a vaccination slot is easy and can be completed in three simple steps. Only Bharat Biotech's Covaxin has got approval for this age group as per the guidelines issued by the Union health ministry on 27 December 2021.

Deepak Tuli, Co-founder & COO, Eka Care, said that for supporting the initiative of the government to get India vaccinated completely, this option had been introduced to users for booking vaccination slots for their children and continue the fight against COVID-19.

Reportedly, users can now book the slot through the application available on Android and iOS and from the firm's website, www.eka.care.

Additionally, the vaccination slots can be booked for children using the existing CoWIN accounts of the parents or can register by just creating a new account using a different mobile number.

Eka.care was founded in December 2020 to build a digitally enabled and connected healthcare ecosystem for doctors and patients to bring out better healthcare outcomes. Since then, more than 8 million users have used CoWin serviced on the eka.care platform, which has aided the downloads of approximately 15 Million certificates using the Eka app, website, and WhatsApp interface.

The platform is accessible in 12 languages, enabling India's families to create various health profiles, developmental milestones, lab reports, prescriptions, scans, and store health records like vaccination records for kids and certifications of COVID vaccine, etc.

The platform already has around 1.2 million downloads, allowing users to share records with healthcare providers. Additionally, it has a unique feature, Symptoms Checker, which enables doctors to effectively and efficiently diagnose underlying medical conditions while improving reporting capabilities for patients.
