Disney+ all set for a March 2020 launch in the United Kingdom

	The entertainment behemoth is launching its much-awaited streaming platform.
	 
	Release of more than 300 movies is on the cards.


Disney has finally asserted that new streaming service Disney+ will be rolled out soon in the U.K. Disney+ goes live in the U.S. next week and will be hub for every Disney, Marvel and Star Wars movie. A week later, on November 19, 2019, it will launch in Australia and New Zealand.

Reportedly, Disney CEO Bob Iger stated that the much-anticipated Disney+ will make inroads in all major Europe markets, including the U.K., France, Germany, Italy and Spain at the same time.

Disney is home to a slew of shows and movies for its Disney+ service, along with the eagerly awaited Star War series the Mandalorian launching on November 12, 2019. By the time the service lands in the U.K., the series is expected to have premiered in full.

Other long-awaited projects for the UK are the new High School Musical Series and the Lady and the Tramp remake. In addition, Marvel’s Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki and Hawkeye series, along with Ewan McGregor starring Obi-Wan Kenobi series are all set to hit the platform.

On the launch day in the U.S., release of over 300 movies on the platform is on the cards, along with the Avengers: Endgame. Amid speculation of varying titles according to territory, Disney put all doubts to rest claiming that current licensing agreement has lot to do with it.

At the time when battle for supremacy is heating up, Disney is bringing forth a slew of TV shows, classic movies and animations, along with the new projects. Nevertheless, Disney boasts of the star-studded original content, including Simpsons and other Fox entertainment titles that fall under the Disney banner.

Disney+: Birds’ eye view

Disney+ is a paid-for streaming channel platform akin to Amazon Prime or Netflix. Disney claims that emphasis is on ‘quality over content.’ For the uninitiated, the behemoth of entertainment owns Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, National Geographic, 20th Century Fox, and so on.
