Computer Aided Technology finalizes the purchase of Fisher Unitech

3D printers play an vital role in creating complex prototype models especially for applications across the automobiles and aircraft industry. Several companies have started to embrace 3D printer while others have gone with subtractive manufacturing. However, in order to maintain dominance in the market, many companies are initiating numerous business strategies.

U.S.-based engineering consultant, Computer Aided Technology (CATI) did a similar thing as it revealed completion of its acquisition of Fisher Unitech LLC. As per reports, Fisher offers various products and services such as additive manufacturing hardware, product development software, consulting and maintenance services.

Its offerings allow customers to validate, manage and design pioneering products from prototyping to manufacturing. Moreover, Fisher is a leading provider of Dassault Systemes SolidWorks and has offered its constant support to the platform for over twenty years.

The company is also the first partner of Stratasys in North America and has grown to become one of the biggest providers of Stratasys 3D printers all around the world.

Speaking on its acquisition, Matt Wise, CEO, Fisher, said that their company is thrilled to be a part of CATI and is looking forward for its new partnership with CIVC and CATI which would give it additional resources, reach and capital, enabling it to efficiently serve its users while supporting the firm’s growth.

Wise added that CATI’s team would help it scale the market in 3D design and product development industry, and is glad to partner with an organization that shares the same values of integrity, customer service and responsiveness.

Earlier in 2018, Fisher Unitech had announced that it had partnered with Nano Dimension as a channel partner for North America. Sources cite that, under the agreement, Fisher would purchase a DragonFly 2020 Pro 3D printer in order to make the platform accessible to its huge customer base.
