Chubb and Royal Brunei partner to offer travel insurance to passengers

Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) and Chubb have reportedly partnered to provide travel insurance to the passengers of the airline.

The collaboration has been unveiled in Brunei with more territories and countries to follow.

The travel insurance offered by Chubb provides substantial coverage for unexpected overseas medical expenses including medical cover for COVID-19, accidents, and travel inconveniences including loss of travel documents, luggage, and trip cancellation.

Furthermore, passengers can access travel and medical services provided by the 24-hour hotline of Chubb Assistance, should they need some advice or help during their trip.

The benefits are customized to suit the individual needs of each traveler and they can simply include travel insurance during the process of online flight booking on flyroyalbrunei.com.

Acting CEO of Royal Brunei Airlines, Mr. Sabirin Hj Abd Hamid quoted that the airline intends to offer a comprehensive experience to its passengers throughout their journey.

Mr. Hamid added that the collaboration with Chubb comes at a time of an open border scenario and a dearth of staff. The partnership enables the management of disruptions experienced by its passengers and offers solutions to problems that are beyond the airline’s control.

Mr. Brian Hogan, Chubb’s Asia Pacific Regional Head of Leisure & Business Travel cited that the inclusion of travel insurance that covers COVID-19 has instilled confidence in travelers to explore the world again.

The collaboration comprises Hepstar, an ancillary aggregator, and commits to offering various products to complement the travel insurance of Chubb and enhance the booking and traveling experience of Royal Brunei Airlines' passengers.

For the record, Chubb is the largest publicly traded casualty and property insurance company in the world. With the company’s presence across 54 territories and countries, it offers personal, commercial property, and casualty insurance, supplemental health, and personal accident insurance, life insurance, and reinsurance to a variety of clients.
