Bettcher Industries to buy renowned manufacturing company Cantrell

Bettcher Industries Inc. has reportedly announced its acquisition of the U.S.-based Cantrell, which manufactures equipment & systems for the poultry-processing industry. Apparently, Bettcher Industries looks to offer a broader line of innovative equipment as well as system solutions to leading food processors.

Sources with the knowledge of the development cited that Cantrell is widely recognized for developing and delivering high-quality products & parts that are extensively deployed by the poultry processing space. Established in 1972, Cantrell produces evisceration & picking equipment, vacuum systems, second processing equipment, wing segmenters and spare parts, and sells them to poultry processors in Canada, the US and Latin America.

Don Esch, the Chief Executive Officer at Bettcher Industries, was recently quoted saying that the present moment is an exciting one for the company as Cantrell is joining the Bettcher family of businesses. The latest acquisition is likely to position the company for further expansion and accelerated growth of its market activities, and in addition, will provide various prospects for supporting its poultry processing customers in innumerable ways, he further elaborated.

According to press release issued by Cantrell, Joe Cowman, President, Cantrell Gainco Poultry Group, the change in ownership is unlikely to affect the everyday operations of Cantrell. Tony Rice and Dane Woods are expected to continue serving as the co-general managers. The company envisions to provide improved and expanded solutions and services, by way of developing synergies with its companion businesses.
