ASM announces launch of Checksome™ to advance patient safety

Blockchain has grown to become an ingenious invention and has built the backbone for a new type of internet, which is originally devised for digital currencies and bitcoin. However, several tech companies have found other potential for this technology.

Applied Statistics & Management, Inc. (ASM), a leading credentialing, privileging and information management software provider, recently made some strides by introducing its platform Checksome™, which includes around two million primary source verifications that are secured and encrypted by blockchain.

According to reliable sources, the data obtained from it is crucial for minimizing credentialing processing times, while offering proactive notifications for changing licensure. Besides, the platform is available for free to all customers of MD-Staff, a cloud-based, user-friendly and AI-enabled credentialing software solution.

Apparently, there is growing cases of duplicated credentialing work as each organization independently verifies each practitioner’s credentials and licenses. As practitioners are chosen by different organizations, they are required to provide the same information again, an issue that Checksome™ aims to eliminate by offering blockchain-based single, secure data repository.

Speaking on the launch, Nick Phan, Executive Vice President, ASM, said that the platform would enable its clients to boost credentialing times while enabling them to observe their medical staff. Moreover, blockchain technology offers the required trust and security, while removing duplicate work.

ASM is also known to deliver proven software services that benefit healthcare organizations by reducing costs and streamlining their processes. Incidentally, MD-Staff has also obtained the highest Loyalty vs Value score in a recent Credentialing report which was issued by KLAS®. It has gained an overall score of 93.7, which is the highest score indicating how well do vendors address customer pain points.

Sources cite that several customers have witnessed a substantial reduction in processing time due to the platform. Additionally, according to KLAS®’s report, MD-Staff users are seen to be more satisfied than other vendors.
