Ashok Leyland allies with Mahindra over used commercial vehicle unit
Ashok Leyland, an Indian automotive manufacturer, has recently announced that it has signed a deal with Mahindra First Choice Wheels Ltd. (MFCWL) for unveiling a hybrid ecosystem for its used commercial vehicle unit.
According to sources close to the move, the physical plus digital (Phygital) platform will smoothen old commercial vehicles purchases along with the exchange process.
By foraying into this segment, Ashok Leyland seeks to streamline the used vehicle market with the help of the digital ecosystem, and its current and potential channel partners for physical interactions in over 700 parking yards spread around the country.
As per a statement released by Ashok Leyland recently, the firm will be able to bring more clarity into the used commercial vehicle space, thereby enhancing the options to lessen the number of old vehicles practicing across the roadways of India.
Additionally, customers can benefit from value-added services like breakdown services, iALERT telematics solution, and Driver SAATHi skilling solution through the multiple digital solutions offered by Ashok Leyland.
Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Ashok Leyland's Head MHCV, said that this is a great moment for the firm as from now onwards, it can offer a larger pool of customers with the combined strength of knowledge in CV and Mahindra forte on the yards, digital ecosystem. The firm is hopeful that this relationship will offer improved value to its customers.
While speaking on occasion, Ashok Leyland's Head – of UV Business, Mr. Kalyankumar Sidram Hatti, said that the firm is pleased to associate with MFCW in this new initiative to offer greater value to its customers with a one-stop solution.
