Amazon India unveils Marketplace Appstore to offer business solutions

The platform would allow sellers to search for applications that help them automate, grow and manage their business as well as connect developers with retailers.

E-commerce giant, Amazon.com, Inc. has recently unveiled The Amazon Marketplace Appstore in India. According to credible reports, the platform would focus on helping sellers discover third-party applications that could help them grow, automate and manage their business. 

Speaking on the move, Gopal Pillai, VP, Seller Services, Amazon India, stated that the platform was made to allow the right developer to connect with the right seller, allowing both parties to run a successful business.

He said that their firm wants to become the primary solution for sellers to access business tools that minimize their efforts, time and money which was previously wasted on experimenting and searching for appropriate solutions.

Pillai further said that the application on the Marketplace Appstore are reliable and has thoroughly been verified, thus helping both developers and the sellers scale their businesses.

Sources cite that the Marketplace Appstore contains various solutions developed by external developers and Amazon, covering a range of price points and functionalities. Sellers can search for apps across thirteen categories like Inventory and Order Management, Accounting and Tax Remittance, E-commerce Solution Connectors and more.

The platform can be accessed through Amazon Seller Central. Meanwhile, sellers can search, filter, and compare applications to find the solution that best suits their needs. 

Additionally, the Amazon Marketplace Appstore encourages sellers to focus on operating their business as it minimizes the effort and time spent on finding the appropriate solution for their needs, like searching a sales analytics tool or shipping provider.

Furthermore, Indian sellers can easily access from around 100 apps from across the world from the Amazon Marketplace Appstore, enabling them to create a much enhanced customer experience.
