Airbus to hire engineering IT talent in India at Hyderabad airshow

European multinational aerospace corporation, Airbus will reportedly be offering jobs opportunities for India's high-end IT and engineering talents at the upcoming Wings India airshow in Hyderabad.

Airbus India is looking to fill positions in areas like aircraft system simulation, avionics software, and airframe structures.

Job opportunities are also available in digital technology roles like full-stack development, API development, cloud, big data, cyber security, and DevOps and IoT, said the firm recently.

Suraj Chettri, Regional Director (HR), Airbus India & South Asia, said that the strength of India lies in its talent, ability to scale volume and perhaps the presence of the most significant engineering and information technology partner environment in the world.

The firm will continue to tap India's top talent to contribute to its global programmes. The firm is assured that India's world-class talent and research and development team will influence the future of the aerospace sector, Chettri added.

At present, Airbus supports 7,000 jobs in India and is also set to increase the number for the positions of engineering and IT to more than 2,000 by the end of 2022, as a part of its approach for growth in India, that forecasts capacity building to address the future requirements, including decarbonization and sustainable technologies.

However, it did not specify how many positions will be filled in India and what increasing the IT and engineering position 2,000 signifies in terms of the precise additions this year. Although, Airbus did say that the required plan for India is in line with the firm's growth forecast of approximately 6,000 new hires globally.

Furthermore, the firm has said that senior officials will be attending the event meet-and-greet at the Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad, where the people looking for jobs or job change can learn and inquire more about Airbus as well as career opportunities offered by the company.
