Accenture to partner with Mujin on digital transformation of logistics

The companies will combine their solution and insights to improve manufacturing productivity

Accenture, a multinational services company, recently announced that it is going to collaborate with Mujin, manufacturer of industrial robot controller, in order to deliver an intelligence service which uses artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics to accelerate digital transformation in the logistics sector.

Apparently, both the companies will work together to provide services like logistics planning and implementation and operation of technology. For instance, businesses with logistics centers can implement a solution comprising of Accenture’s fulfillment service that is based on exact demand forecast and deep industry insights along with the intelligent robot controller of Mujin.

Business will reportedly be able to support visualized operational data to refine plans for logistics through the visualization and automation of warehouse operations and optimize plans for delivery to accelerate the transformation in logistics.

Citing reliable sources, end-to-end service capabilities are offered by Accenture for digital transformation and the reported collaboration with Mujin will enhance the services of AI-powered supply chain management. Mujin both develops and delivers intelligent robot controllers which automate boxing processes and picking of disordered loads, all of it based on their motion planning AI.

Both the companies will be combining their solutions and insights to improve manufacturing productivity as well as generate new value according to the clients’ business goals and right logistics strategies.

Accenture’s country managing director, Japan, Atsushi Egawa said that to accelerate transformation, the organizations need to form broader ecosystems by cooperating with external partners. Mujin is the world’s leading provider of robot technology and will play an important role in transforming manufacturing industries.

The collaboration will strengthen Accenture’s ecosystems in the robotics and the AI fields and drive transformation for clients further. Accenture will reportedly extend the initiative into the manufacturing field with an aim to optimize the entire supply, Egawa mentioned.

Issei Takino, CEO, Mujin said that the collaboration with Accenture will help their mission to generate new value in the society by providing intelligence to industrial robots and deploying them.
