Accenture opens innovation center in South Beach Road office

Accenture, an Irish multinational professional services company, has recently opened a global innovation center within the Accenture’s office at South Beach Road, which is supported by EDB (Economic Development Board) in Singapore.

It will provide situational awareness to public safety organizations as well as deliver trust and confidence to citizens in Asia Pacific and across the world. The solutions offered by the company help respond and mitigate risks to improve the way of living.

The new center will act as a platform for government agencies to collaborate and accelerate digital transformation journeys.

The innovation center is designed to be a collaborative environment to persuade Accenture clients, digital innovators, and professionals from public and private sectors to foster breakthrough thinking. It enables public safety organizations to put forward informed decisions to deliver better safety services and outcomes to citizens and communities. It is also dedicated to situational awareness technologies such as risk management strategy, which supports clients in deploying technologies such as blockchain, AI (Artificial Intelligence), IoT (the internet of things), augmented and virtual reality.

According to a statement made by James Slessor, a leader at Accenture’s Public Safety business, improving situational awareness helps in assessing any risks or associated hazards to apply necessary control measures in real time. Through the usage of innovative technologies, public safety agencies can anticipate safety incidents to effectively deliver services to the entire populace.

Director of Commercial & Professional Services at EDB, Dawn Lim, stated that the instance of Accenture choosing Singapore as an innovation center is a huge achievement as it provides situational awareness technologies to accelerate innovation and commercialization of next-generation public safety systems.

Wee Wei Ng, a leader at Accenture’s Health and Public Service practice, has also stated that digitalization has become the core of operations as Smart Nation initiatives help in reshaping the way public services are delivered.

In order to develop situational-awareness solutions and support the functioning of public safety agencies, Accenture will also form collaborations with various technology companies, including SAS.
